Hi Parents, my name is Anna and I am a lifelong babysitter, whether it be younger cousin's, family friends or neighbours kids, I have been the designated fun older child for as long as I can remember. Now having just graduated uni I still haven't truly grown out of making up games and building forts. I love working with children and have volunteered running children's youth at church, I was also a qualified swimming teacher for 2 years teaching children from 6 months to 12 years, and most recently I have been working as a children's entertainer doing facepainting balloon twisting and everything else. Mostly this means I have ample experience with children and engaging with kids. I love telling stories and doing crafts. I am more than willing to help with school homework and occasional chores and keep little ones engaged and learning about the world around them in a fun and engaging way. I am keen to do odd jobs around the garden or house, putting on some music and getting my hands dirty. I am good at manual labour and yard work having a good work ethic and don't mind a bit of sweat. I am an advocate of children being children and getting messy. Playing outdoors, climbing trees and collecting strange leaves, if this sounds like your child then I am the person for you.
I have ADHD myself and have worked with children with ASD and ADHD. I also have worked as a accessibility assistant at UTS for a blind PHD student so adapting to different accessibility needs is something I have experience with.
I have been working with children my entire life, and am fine with all ages. I have taken care of anywhere from 6 months to 12 years old. I have most experience with primary aged children and find this age group the most in tune to my particular brand of mad genius. I love the curiosity about the world that children have and encouraging them to be imaginative and create what they like. I love working with children and listening to their stories and being an active listener and making hem feel valued and respected.
I have done a few odd jobs here and there for family and friends helping out with homework and school projects.
